Branstetter began practicing in Wallace, Idaho in 1979 with Hull and Hull, Chartered, which after several name changes, became known as Hull and Branstetter, Chartered in 2000. His primary practice is general civil practice with emphasis on mining, water, corporate, environmental, natural resources and mine permitting. Practice areas also include probate, workers compensation, municipal and educational law. He was admitted to the Idaho Bar and all Idaho courts in 1979, United States District Court, District of Idaho in 1979, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in 1981.
Mike is married with three children who together enjoy camping, snowshoeing, hiking, atv riding, and cabin time with family and grandchildren. He enjoys hunting, fishing and snow skiing.
Mike was also a past member of the defense research institute and insurance defense attorneys of Idaho.
